These lectures have all been given in English as they were designed for non-French People. When I returned to France after many years in Asia, I continued lecturing about Asia on English-speaking cruise ships. The companies I was working for at the time (Clipper and Noble Caledonia) asked me to prepare lectures for French and European itineraries as I already knew their clientele and could therefore adapt the lectures to this type of audience. I also prepared lectures for “An Aquitaine Historical Society”, an association of which I was president for a time : based in the Dordogne, it offers lectures and other activities in English for expatriates who wish to learn more about French history.
