Anne-Marie Harrison,lecturer and writer

Welcome to this website.

I have designed this website, firstly to introduce myself and summarize what I have been doing for quite a few years, and secondly, I hope, to be able to exchange views with others on various topics of mutual interest.

The site is bilingual as I am French, but married an Englishman, so have spent many years in an English-speaking environment.

I was originally a teacher (of English!) but went to live in Asia for 16 years and became a guide/docent in several museums, which led to my being invited to lecture on cruise ships.

I have also published several articles and two books on Asia.

So, I would suggest you browse the “Lectures” section to see what I am able to offer in this field, the “Publications” section to learn more about my writing and the “Blog” section, which will grow in time, and is meant to complement the other two sections through links within the site itself.

Please, contact me with any questions or comments.

Happy surfing.

I have also taught French or English at all levels, from primary to postgraduate, in all the countries where I have lived. I have also been very involved with charity and cutural projects, again both in Asia and Europe. I have also served on the local council as deputy mayor in the small village in Southwest France where I live.

I am now based full-time in France and lecture regularly, in French and in English, to cultural organisations and on cruise ships.
